Winter Break 2024-2025

Columbus State Community College will be closed for Winter Break from Wednesday, Dec. 25, through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Registration for classes will be available online during the break.

Faculty Focus: Judith Dann

Growing up in an 1820-era house that had been on the Underground Railroad helped inspire Judith Dann to pursue a career in history. She has fond memories of that Worthington childhood home. "We found a document that appears to confirm it was on the Railroad," said Dann. "When you closed the door to a small coal room in the basement, you could not tell there was even a door there."

Students earn spot to compete in national EV battery challenge

A team of students from The Ohio State University and Columbus State Community College has been chosen to participate in the inaugural Battery Workforce Challenge Competition. Organized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Stellantis and Argonne National Laboratory, the competition tasks 12 selected universities, along with their vocational partners, to design, build, test and integrate an advanced EV battery into a future Stellantis vehicle, which will be announced in early 2024.
