
This 7-step process must be completed in order to obtain a Preliminary
Education Certificate (PEC) from the State Medical Board of Ohio. Upon
completion of the process, you will be placed on a list for enrollment
eligibility in the Massage Therapy Program.
Step 1 The Columbus State admissions application
form is online at
https://secure.cscc.edu/application/default.asp. If it has been more
than three years since you attended classes at Columbus State, call
(614) 287-2453 or 1-800-621-6407, ext. 2453, to reactivate your student
file.
- New students must take Placement Tests for placement. Placement
Tests are administered in the Testing Center, Aquinas Hall, Room
002. See the
following website for specific hours and sample questions.
- Specific Program Admissions Information: Listed below are
additional requirements for admission to the Massage Therapy Degree
Program:
* High school degree or GED equivalency.
* Placement into ENGL 101 -- Beginning Composition
* Placement into MATH 101 -- Business Math
* Student must obtain a Certificate of Preliminary Education from
the State Medical Board.
Step 2 Complete the
Massage Therapy Program Official
Application.
Step 3 Written Statement of Interest and Intent. A
one page, double spaced, typed personal statement including why you want
to complete the Massage Therapy Program, how you plan to use your
education, and how you are planning on ensuring your success in this
program. Please make sure you sign your statement. This statement of
interest and intent must be submitted with your application packet.
