Kent State University

Kent State University is a public, comprehensive research university located in Kent, Ohio (about 2.5 hours northeast of Columbus).  Kent State has over 22,000 undergraduate and graduate students located on its main campus in Kent, and seven additional regional campuses.  Students can choose from over 340 academic programs, including award-winning programs in fashion design, architecture, hospitality management, and more.   While the majority of academic programs are on Kent State's campuses, many programs are available through online learning.   Students are considered transfer students to Kent State when they complete 12 college level credit hours post-high school graduation.

Visit and Contact Information

Jonathan Gates, Transfer Enrollment Specialist, is available to meet with any student interested in transfer to Kent State at any time while they are at CSCC.  Students can meet with Jonathan one Tuesday afternoon in the University Transfer Center on a drop-in basis or by appointment on the Columbus Campus.  Jonathan will also meet with students at Lobby Informational Tables across campus during the semester on the Columbus Campus. If students wish to make an appointment, rather than drop-in, students should consult the visit calendar and click on THIS LINK to schedule for an in-person meeting.

Information about Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Completion Program 

Students may complete their Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree online after graduating from one of Columbus State's Engineering Technology AAS degree programs at Kent State Tuscarawas.  Columbus State and Kent State have pathways established for our AAS EET, EMECH, and MECH degrees to their BSET- Integrated Engineering Technology track.  Students can also pursue a EET or MECH track in the BSET as an Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathway (forthcoming- TBD).  Students interested in any of these programs may view the links above or use the PDF link below to get more information: 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Completion Degree

Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways- A student who completes the associated AA or AS Bachelor's Degree Transfer major at Columbus State can follow the OGTP for the same major at the Kent State University.  Kent State University offers the following OGTPs for these Columbus State majors:
