Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
You can discover your login name and password at password.cscc.edu.
You will need either your Cougar ID –or- full social security number (using no spaces or dashes) along with your last name. The system will then challenge you with a security question(s). If you haven’t set up the security questions, it will ask for your date of birth instead. The system will then challenge you with a security question(s). Once you have answered the security question(s) correctly, it will take you to the next screen where you can create a new password and update your security questions.
If you are currently enrolled in classes and are using a campus lab computer, use the following steps to discover your login:
Type “discover” as the username
Type “discover” as the password
Click the “discover” button to continue to the next screen
This will take you to the same menu as password.cscc.edu (instructions are listed above)
To access Self-Service (formerly known as CougarWeb), go to Self-Service and log in with your Columbus State username and password.
To access Blackboard, go to http://www.cscc.edu, and choose the Blackboard link in the upper right side of the page. This will take you to the login page of blackboard. This is also accessible by going directly to https://courses.cscc.edu
The student email address consists of the username followed by @student.cscc.edu. The employee email address consists of the username followed by @cscc.edu.
The B drive is a personal network storage space for CSCC students where important files can be stored for retrievel at a later date. Students can access the B drive from most computers on CSCC campus after they login with their username and password. They can also access their network storage from locations outside CSCC, by going to http://storage.cscc.edu and logging in with their username and password.
On all browsers, use the keyboard shortcut Control + Shift + Delete to bring up a
box to clear cache and cookies.
