Third-Party Sponsorship
Jump to: Veteran Benefit Programs
Third-Party Sponsorship is a payment option at the bookstore for sponsored students. A sponsored student is one whose educational expenses are being pre-paid by an employer or community agency (Sponsoring Agency). Any educational costs that are not covered by the sponsorship are the students responsibility.
Example of sponsorships: Chapter 31-Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E), Child Development Council of Franklin County, Nestle, Sheakley Unicomp, US Department of Labor, WIOA, Worthington Industries.
Autumn Semester 2024
THIRD-PARTY SPONSORSHIP opens
Thursday, August 15, at noon.
Sponsorships will be serviced in-store and online at bookstore.cscc.edu. Eligible students will receive an email notification when their sponsorship voucher is available.
If you have not received an email by the start of the semester and feel you should have, please contact your counselor to send authorization to Michelle Denune at mdenune@cscc.edu. If you are a VR&E student, please contact Nichole Lyday at nlyday1@cscc.edu.
Veteran Benefit Programs
Chapter 31 and Chapter 33 have a different process for attaining course materials. Not all VR&E students qualify for a sponsorship, so please review carefully each process below.
CHAPTER 31
Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E)
Qualified students receive a sponsorship voucher.
The Veteran Readiness & Employment Division will authorize sponsorship vouchers for eligible VR&E students to order required books and supplies. For a complete list of what is covered and what needs pre-authorization, see Textbooks & Supplies Guidelines.
Remember to purchase all required books for ALL classes for the entire semester during the allotted book voucher time frame.
Students will receive an email notification when their sponsorship book voucher is available; if you have not received an email by the start of the semester and feel you should have, please contact Nichole Lyday at nlyday1@cscc.edu. You must have an active Purchase Order (PO) Authorization on file, which is provided to the bookstore by your assigned VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Without this PO Authorization, we will not be able to set up your book voucher.
For voucher and bookstore assistance, please contact Michelle Denune at mdenune@cscc.edu.
CHAPTER 33
Post-9/11 GI Bill
Qualified students must request reimbursement.
If you are a post 9/11 student who has qualified for a stipend under the GI bill, then you will NOT be issued a sponsorship voucher. Post-9/11 students under Chapter 33 are required to purchase books first and then request reimbursement. Please see your VA Counselor for assistance.
Financial Aid Notice: for Chapter 33 Post-9/11 students receiving financial aid, you may have financial aid funds available at the bookstore, see our financial aid page for more information. Please note: the Financial Aid payment method is not the same as a Sponsorship Voucher.
