Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) Annual Conference
FACULTY IDEA EXCHANGE (FIX) 2025
The Columbus State Community College Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) is an annual summer conference planned by the CSCC Instructional Success Committee (ISC) that provides a forum where college educators from Central Ohio and beyond can share and compare best teaching practices. Educators from every institution are invited.
FIX 2025 is scheduled for:
June 6, 2025
8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Columbus State WD Conference Center
(in-person)
We are excited to announce that this year’s keynote and plenary speaker is Dr. Tamara Rosier, a dynamic speaker and author of the successful book "Your Brain's Not Broken", which applies her experiences as a professor, college administrator, leadership consultant, and founder of the ADHD Center of West Michigan to help educators understand the skills necessary to reach learners across the entire spectrum of abilities.
In addition to the featured speaker, breakout sessions focused on student success and best teaching practices will be presented by faculty and other education experts from higher-ed institutions of Central Ohio (and beyond).
*CALL FOR PROPOSALS*
We are actively seeking proposals to present at FIX 2025 based on successful and innovative teaching strategies or relevant topics and their link to student success (e.g., teaching best practices, effective study strategies, technology in the classroom, motivation, etc.). Strategies must be applicable across all disciplines and institutions. Presentations are expected to be 40 minutes in length, including some time for questions.
Deadline to submit for FIX 2025 is April 23, 2025.

FIX CLIX (FIX Classroom Innovation Exchange)
The CSCC Instructional Success Committee has established a resource for faculty at Columbus State - FIX CLIX - that can be used to support instructional success in the classroom and share peer-submitted, evidenced-based resources on best practices in teaching. We work to collect the interests and insights in the teaching profession and provide them here as a resource for all interested in improving instructional success. If you have been inspired by a book, a research paper, or your peers and want to share your excitement, please consider submitting a proposal for a blog post via the link below.
