Ohio Deaf History Month: Panel discussion and networking event

Faculty, staff and students are invited to join a panel discussion and networking event honoring Ohio Deaf History Month. Hosted by the Interpreter Education Program, the panel will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Culinary Theater, with the networking in the adjacent hallway from 1:30 to 2 p.m.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn from a panel of faculty and staff from the deaf community about important milestones in deaf history, particularly where education is concerned. Panelists will also discuss strategies for effectively supporting students in the deaf community. After the discussion, attendees will have an opportunity to network with representatives from deaf-owned businesses and organizations supporting the deaf community.
