State grant for Columbus State-Ohio State founded organization
Update | Monday, March 10, 2025
The State of Ohio has awarded a grant to the Ohio Supply Chain Academic Network (O-SCAN). The grant will help enhance workforce collaboration in Ohio’s supply chain and logistics industry. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring a robust talent pipeline for the future.
O-SCAN will become Ohio’s newest Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) and the first ISP for the logistics and supply chain industry. The ISP is a collaborative endeavor; its members will help shape the future of Ohio's supply chain workforce, ensuring the evolving needs of the industry are met in order to create sustainable solutions and drive economic growth in the region.
Jeremy Banta, Engineering Technology associate professor, and Steve DeNunzio, Ohio State University senior lecturer, established O-SCAN in 2019 as a collaborative initiative between faculty at Columbus State and OSU’s Max M. Fisher College of Business.
O-SCAN acts as a conduit for education and industry collaboration, integrating emerging technologies into academic programs and elevating the role of supply chain education. Its efforts center on fostering connections among educators, industry professionals, and solution providers, shaping supply chain management (SCM) educational strategies, and identifying key industry trends and technological advancements that impact workforce development.
If you would like to get involved with O-SCAN, contact Jeremy Banta at jbanta1@cscc.edu. More information on O-SCAN and the new grant can be found at this link.
