Proactive Pathway Advising
Join us for an interactive session exploring the implementation and scaling of holistic, pathways-based academic advising at the college. This approach emphasizes enhanced advisor training and support, data-informed practices, and cross-campus collaboration to better integrate academic, career, and personal support service for our students. Through discussion and collaborative activities, we’ll gather your insights to help shape and refine this evolving model—ensuring it effectively meets the diverse needs of our students as we move forward in the implementation process.

Gateway Courses
Please join us for a panel discussion and Q&A about how faculty get students to learn in the Gateway Courses. Hear the strategies and techniques they have utilized for student success. Develop an understanding of the common barriers we all face (reading comprehension, writing ability, study skills) and of what faculty have done to help students think critically. After faculty respond to audience questions, participants will leave with a tangible list of tips and resources.

This session will provide a brief high-level overview of the goals and timeline of our implementation and will highlight some of the work that's been done to configure our future student information system to promote student success. Some of the featured functionality includes a look at the new student onboarding, the Academic Hub for students, and a preview of how instructors will interact with Workday.

Accreditation 101: Our Shared Path to Accreditation Excellence
This presentation outlines the approach of the newly minted Office of Accreditation to building a robust accreditation infrastructure. It will highlight the basics of accreditation; and demonstrate a proactive strategic approach to integrated continuous improvement with communication, self-review, gap analysis, training, and evidence collection. The strategies will align institutional practices with accreditation requirements. Faculty and staff will gain insight into how their roles support accreditation and institutional quality.

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is offering a special Achievement Analytics training session during In-Service Day. This session will provide back-to-back training in both the Basics (aggregate data) and Reports (student-level data) modules. Completing both parts grants access to the secure Achievement Analytics platform.

Join us for a guided walking tour highlighting key student support resources across campus. Ever wonder where to refer students for support—or what Student Central or Advising Central look like these days? This is your chance to find out! Led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides, the tour will include stops at locations such as Student Central, Advising Central, the Library Writing Center and Tutoring Center, the Mid-Ohio Market, and more. It's especially great for adjunct faculty, new employees, or anyone who hasn’t visited these areas recently. Tours depart at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Weather permitting, of course!
