Admissions holds two events in April

The Admissions Department hosted an inaugural Cougar Admit Day the first week in April, followed by Technation Day  during the second week.

More than 332 students and guests participated in Cougar Admit Day on April 2. Alongside a general overview of Columbus State, parents and students attended separate sessions to help them prepare for the next registration steps. The buzz leading up to the event and the engagement during the session were so strong, that a second Admit Day has been set for Thursday, May 22!  

Admissions also organized the second annual Technation Day on April 9. That event was attended by more than 100 students and guests who were engaged and asked questions throughout the evening.

Technation Day included:

• Financial Aid and a Next Steps Q&A Room (Financial Aid Advisors and NSP coaches)
• Resource Fair (Admissions, Choose Ohio First Scholarship, Future Technicians Learning 
• Community, Military & Veteran's Affairs Office, and Student Central)
• Engineering Technology Academic Overview
• Employer and student panel with Abbott, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Illuminate USA, and two Columbus State graduates
• Lab Tours in Eibling Hall and the SX building
