Organizational Development & People Analytics (ODPA) has announced the latest professional development options. Included is a new course: LinkedIn Learning: Focus on Mindfulness. Additional courses include LinkedIn Learning: Communication, Equity Advocacy, and Workday Training.

- Introduction to LinkedIn Learning: Learn how LinkedIn Learning can help you grow personally and professionally. With over 16,000 courses, there's something for everyone. This training will cover how to access your free account, connect it with your existing LinkedIn profile and basic platform navigation.
- NEW! LinkedIn Learning Focus on Mindfulness: Discover the transformative power of mindfulness this holiday season. Learn how to manage stress, enhance your well-being, and stay present amidst the festivities. Learn about the many tools and resources available through your free LinkedIn Learning account.
- LinkedIn Learning Communication Training: This training will provide you with a better understanding of how to communicate effectively with your team members and will allow you to recognize ways to use communication as a beneficial tool for success within the workplace.
Equity Advocacy and its Impact on Hiring
The Equity Advocate Program amplifies the commitment of Columbus State Community College
to fairness and equal opportunity in hiring and promotion. Equity advocates are tasked
with assuring compliance with federal, state, and college non-discrimination laws,
regulations, policies and procedures related to recruitment, screening, interviewing,
and selection of job candidates.
Workday Training
New employees will have an opportunity to attend Workday training virtually every
month, whether they are in an individual contributor role or in a people leader role
with direct reports. Employees will learn how to navigate the Workday system with
respect to their role and their day-to-day responsibilities. Current employees are
welcome to attend as a refresher!

Log into the Cougar Connect ODPA link. Click on View More Events to pull up all course offerings. Select the appropriate
training course and continue to RSVP.

New Testing Center location during upcoming temporary closure

The Testing Center in WD, room 223, will be closing for construction during Spring Semester. During that time, it will move to a temporary location in the lower level of Nestor Hall: rooms 011, 012, and 013. The temporary space will have fewer testing seats.

Originally called The Visionary Dreamer Award, the honor was renamed in recent years to reflect two members of our community who exemplified the important work of King, Barb Smith-Allen, and Darius Torrence.
