Two years ago, OhioLINK was awarded funding for the first round of GEER resources through the Ohio Department of Higher Education. In 2022, OhioLINK has been awarded additional funding that will be used to continue efforts to bridge gaps in higher education instructional materials and library resources created by the pandemic. 

The Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) funds are part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, federal economic aid authorized in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Along with the continued Perpetual Access to MIT Press Direct eBooks and Sage Business Cases from 2020, OhioLINK has secured four new resources that were available last week starting on December 1.   

Perpetual access 

• Routledge Handbooks, an up-to-date overview of classic and current research across a broad spectrum of subjects, including the humanities, social sciences, science, and engineering, from Routledge and CRC Press.  
• Sage Counseling & Psychotherapy Videos, including over 400 streaming videos on topics including counseling research methods, counseling setting/client groups, theory and approaches, counseling skills, and professional issues. 

One year access 

• University Press E-Books from De Gruyter, including eBooks from Columbia, Harvard, California, Stanford, Toronto, University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers, and Penn State, covering a variety of subjects, including sciences, humanities, business, technology, medicine, law, and more. 
• Elsevier eBooks, including earth and planetary sciences, engineering and computing, life and biological sciences, medical sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences.
