Fourth graduating class for 10,000 Small Businesses Program

Update | Monday, December 19, 2022

The Autumn Semester Goldman Sachs graduates.

The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at Columbus State celebrated its fourth graduating class with 15 Columbus-area entrepreneurs who completed the rigorous 14-week program. Small business owners account for more than 230 jobs in Central Ohio and represent multiple industries such as food service, video production, engineering, landscaping, commercial cleaning, nonprofit, and more.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is an investment program to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunities by providing them with greater access to education, financial capital, and business support services. The program operates in 30 markets through a network of academic and community partners.

The program is offered at no cost to selected business owners, all of whom receive a full scholarship funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation. In addition, program participants receive one-on-one business advising and complete an actionable growth plan tailored specifically to their business.

Program applications are being accepted for the next Columbus State cohort in Autumn 2023. The program seeks applicants who are passionate about growing their business and creating jobs within the community and meet the following criteria:

  • Owner or co-owner of a business
  • Business in operation for at least two years
  • Business revenues of at least $75,000 in the most recent fiscal year
  • Minimum of two employees (including the owner)

An application is available on the 10,000 Small Businesses webpage
