Options for mental health providers

The continuing pandemic has led to an increase in the need for services of mental health providers. Services may be available as follows: The College's Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the health plan offered through United Health Care (UHC), Matrix virtual sessions, and community programs. Each explained below:  

Matrix Psychological Services: Matrix is the Employee Assistant Program (EAP) and is offered at no cost for Full-time and Regularly Schedule Part-time employees and their dependents. Call 614-475-9500 to make an appointment. Full-time employees, spouses, and dependents may use up to eight visits and Regularly Schedule Part-time employees, spouses, and their dependents may use up to three visits.   

Matrix Virtual sessions: This is an additional service for ALL employees at no cost. Available the first Thursday of the month from 2-6 p.m. with a male clinician and the third Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. with a female clinician. Virtual sessions are open to all employees, including adjuncts. Call Matrix at 614-475-9500 in advance to schedule.   

UHC behavioral health benefit for College health plan participants: This is an additional option for employees who are enrolled with UHC. The copay applies if the PPO was elected. The deductible and coinsurance apply if the HDHP/HSA was elected. Go to www.myuhc.com and search under “Find a Doctor” for behavioral health.
