Institute for Global Education set for this month

Update | Tuesday, May 4, 2021

Faculty and students interested in information about international affairs, global education, and public service opportunities can take part in a free event this month. The Institute for the Global Education of Transfer Students is a series of workshops held Tuesday through Thursday, May 20-22.

  • A certificate will be granted to participants
  • Workshops are designed for students interested in public service, international affairs, or global education opportunities
  • Participants will hear directly from Marshall, Fulbright, Schwarzman, and Erasmus Mundus Scholars about their time abroad, along with representatives from our partners at the State Department, USAID, Boren Awards, Critical Language Scholarship, Gilman Scholar Network, Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, and more
  • Current or recent transfer students will have the opportunity to apply to participate as a mentee in the Summer 2021 Mentorship Cohort.

    The National Veterans Leadership Foundation (NVLF) has selected its inaugural class of Leadership Fellows for 2022. Students selected for the program will represent their institution in a six-month leadership development program to advance their professional preparedness and engage them in service to their institution's military community. No one could have foreseen what all of us would face personally or professionally. Workers headed home, faculty and administrators flipped in-person learning to an entirely virtual environment, and the Facilities Management team faced hurdles preparing for an eventual return to campus.

It is a digital application that tracks medication, nutrition, activities, and accessible medical care. Care4Myself will support individuals by creating lifelong wellness habits by increasing their personal responsibility for their health.
