Merger of two departments announced

Update | Tuesday, October 12, 2021

To continue eliminating barriers to student success, the College is merging two important departments into one. College Testing Services and Disability Services will now be the Department of Testing and Accessibility.

“Over the past few years, Columbus State has been working closely with the Achieving the Dream organization and the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, as well as studying national efforts to create seamless student experiences focused on eliminating barriers to student success,” said Diana Wisse, senior director of Student Affairs. “As part of this movement, we have been looking for ways to bring together key elements of student services and carefully examine the way we organize the college to provide a more holistic approach to our work.”

The collaboration allows for streamlined communication, strategic staffing, consistent support, and shared resources which will benefit the College. The team will come together under the leadership of Tiffany McClain, who will be the department’s director.
