Student employment hiring

Update | Tuesday, June 23, 2020

Do you plan to hire students for Autumn Semester? Are you interested in learning more about the program and how your department can benefit?

Columbus State has received an increase in Federal Work-Study funding for the 2020-21 academic year. That means you can hire students at no cost to your department. Whether your area could use just three hours a week for a student to update and file documents or 20 hours a week to implement a student calling campaign, don’t miss your opportunity to hire.

Training sessions are being held for Hiring Managers and functional supervisors (non-supervisory staff that may oversee the day-to-day work of students) in July. Due to program changes and new requirements, departments must have at least one manager or functional supervisor complete training in order to hire for Autumn Semester.

Sign up for one of the following virtual sessions. A recording will be made available for those that cannot attend.

Tuesday, July 14 at 12 p.m.
Thursday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 29 at 10 a.m.

Questions may be directed to Amanda Perk, program coordinator in Career Services.
