Staff Employee of the Month: Dan Wood

Update | Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Dan Wood

Dan Wood, system administrator in Academic Technology Services, was named as the Staff Employee of the Month (SEOM) at the First Wednesday virtual meeting last week. He has been with Columbus State since 2010. This is not a new recognition for Wood. He was also named the SEOM in in 2016!

His supervisor, Martin Barry, says that Dan’s willingness to take the time to help or teach his co-workers is apparent to all who work with him. “He’s intent on delivering the best possible solution for the campus community and collaborates with others to ensure this quality is maintained in the projects he is responsible for,” says Barry.

Dan was nominated by Sarah Barry, a technician in IT Asset Management. She worked with him in Mitchell Hall as it neared completion and pointed out that he was a team player who had to work closely with multiple teams. “Dan Wood was an integral part of the Mitchell Hall project making sure that all technology needs of the building could be met,” she said. “Without him, the hall would not have come together in the timeline that it did. He clearly went above and beyond in every way.”
