DEIS Faculty Training Workshops in August

Digital Education and Instructional Services (DEIS) has scheduled new workshops for the month of August leading up to Autumn Semester. (**Check out newly added sessions at the bottom.)
These workshops are held using Livestream.
How to enroll:
- Log into Cornerstone
- When prompted, choose “Cornerstone Production” in the drop-down box and click on “Sign
In”:
- On top menu bar, go to: “Learning”
- Select: “Events Calendar”
- Find the workshops listed below on the calendar and register (Select “Request” box at top to register)
Blackboard help: individual live online consultation with the Faculty Assistance Center
Do you need help with Blackboard? Would you like assistance setting up your course
shell for autumn semester? Instructors with questions or in need of Blackboard training
– please email your request for a personalized consultation session to teaching@cscc.edu
Days and hours available: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Other hours considered upon request.
(Please give us 24 hours’ notice, if possible)

Blackboard Annotate (September 3, 11, and 16)
There is a tool you may use to grade written assignments in Blackboard called Blackboard
Annotate. Annotate replaces the New Box View. Annotate offers a more robust feature
set for instructors to provide customizable feedback to students. Features include:
- A sidebar summary view
- Freehand drawing tools
- Various color selections
- Search
- Content Library
- And more!
