New cybersecurity tool on the way

Update | Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Following up on last week’s story about the cybersecurity email test (see story at this link), a new sign-on process will soon be required at Columbus State. The College has purchased a security tool called DUO. It’s a multi-factor authentication (MFA) tool that will be rolled out campus-wide during Autumn Semester. The tool provides another layer of security around our usernames and passwords. You may have experienced it in other applications such as banking. After entering your username and password, you will receive a mobile notification to complete the process of logging into certain applications. More details will be announced as the plan and timeline are finalized.
