Blackboard virtual appointments update; new Blackboard crash course

Update | Tuesday, September 8, 2020

If students are having trouble mastering Blackboard, the Information Technology (IT) Division has new resources and support available.

Virtual appointments
Virtual appointments are still in progress for students who need personalized support. However, all spots are currently full. As schedules change, other appointments may open up, so students are welcome to check back here at a later time.

If a student signs up and later realizes they no longer need Blackboard help, please encourage them to email it-training@cscc.edu to cancel as soon as possible so that spot opens for another student.

Here are some other options for students to learn on their own:

  • For a quick overview, students can check out the new Blackboard crash course video series. In 20 minutes, they will learn more about how to navigate and complete common tasks in Blackboard.
  • If a student needs a hands-on tutorial, they can take the Interactive Blackboard orientation to practice important skills. This is often required for first-year students, especially those who are taking COLS 1100.
  • A student can also check out the resources in Blackboard Student Help for additional information. If they have specific questions about course content, the student should reach out directly to the instructor.

If you have additional questions or need technical assistance, contact the IT Support Center at 614-287-5050, email helpdesk@cscc.edu or check out their other resources at cscc.edu/ithelp.
