Special performance by popular local poet

Poet and friend of the College Sara Abou Rashed will be performing her one-woman, one-hour show “A Map of Myself” this semester.

Marian Wright Edelman of the Children’s Defense Fund says, “Sara Abou Rashed is a powerful voice, an inspiration.”

Presented by Columbus State, this performance is free to students, faculty, and staff. It will be held on Friday, October 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long St., Columbus. Although the venue is just a half-mile stroll from the Columbus Campus, shuttles are being arranged for those who need transportation. With limited seating pre-registration is suggested.
