IT training in Dublin

Update | Tuesday, December 10, 2019

Information Technology will host three training sessions on Monday, December 16 at the Dublin Regional Learning Center. The sessions are open to all employees.

9-10:15 a.m. Excel Basics: Getting Started with Formulas
Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows you to store and analyze information.  One popular feature is the ability to complete calculations and summarize your data. In this hands-on training, we will discuss the basics of how to create simple formulas, use built-in functions, and discuss absolute and relative cell references. If you want to get started with data analysis and math in Excel, this is the session for you!

10:45 a.m.-noon: Excel Basics: Drop-down Lists and Charts
Using drop-down lists for data entry in Excel can help ensure your information is consistent and easy to summarize later.  Excel allows for the creation of charts and graphs that can help you visually represent your data. In this hands-on training, we will discuss how to create a drop-down list, the benefits of using a table for source data, and how to create and customize a chart. If you want to get started with these two features, this is the session for you!

1:30-3 p.m. Outlook Training Mash-up
This hands-on session brings together the most popular Outlook features covered in other trainings. We will discuss time-saving tips and tricks for email and calendar management and answer your questions. Content will vary depending on the needs of the group. This training uses the desktop application of Outlook.
