SCPro Fundamentals
The SCPro™Fundamentals Training Program
A national consortium of nine community colleges, three universities, and Council
of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) have partnered to develop eight certification
tracks and the SCPro™ Fundamentals Certification Exams. With SCPro™ Fundamentals Certification,
both incumbent workers and individuals seeking employment will gain the knowledge
and skills needed to enter the workforce and advance in the supply chain industry.
The program benefits employers by providing educated, certified candidates with the
talents and abilities today's firms demand.
Columbus State offers eight online, self-paced courses that teach directly to and
prepare students to pass SCPro™ Fundamentals Certification exams. The courses are
designed to meet the lives of working professionals and can be completed in as little
as four weeks. Once students complete a course they are able to take the SCPro™ Fundamentals
Certification exam in-person at Columbus State. Students can customize their education
by pursuing all eight certification tracks or selecting courses that meet their career
and educational goals.
Supply Chain Management touches nearly every business and industry and requires workers
from entry level to senior management positions. It focuses on planning and forecasting,
purchasing, product assembly, moving, storing and keeping track of a product as it
flows towards consumers. Therefore, the lack of an educated and trained supply chain
management leaves industries with vacant positions and reduces U.S. competitiveness
and workforce market share.
