Student News | Monday, March 31, 2025

The "All-Ohio Academic Team," a collaboration between the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC), Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) National Honor Society, and Honda, recognizes the academic achievements of community college students in Ohio. Four Columbus State students have been selected to the 2025 All-Ohio Academic Team:

Emma Jirathearanat, First Team
Haley Middendorf, Second Team
Maura Gipe, Third Team
Juangabriel Heredia-Ramirez, Third Team

The All-Ohio Academic Team is an annual program that honors outstanding community college students in Ohio for their academic excellence, leadership, and community service. Students are nominated by their college faculty, staff, and campus leaders. First-team honorees receive $500 scholarships, and second-team members get $250 scholarships. The state recognizes team members in April as part of Community College Month.

Rebecca Mobley, Social Sciences professor, is the Columbus State representative for the PTK All-USA scholarship.
