New work-study position

Student News | Tuesday, June 1, 2021

The Student Advocacy & Financial Stability team is currently accepting applications from students for the Federal Work-Study Program for Student Resource Educator roles. Formerly known as Peer Advocates, Student Resource Educators will work directly with other students to address barriers to academic and personal success. The goal is to connect those seeking help to resources that align with their needs.

This position requires student employees to have a knowledge of or commitment to learning about campus and community resources. It also requires skills in active listening, written and oral communication, problem-solving, maintaining confidentiality, and working with diverse populations.

This position may be especially helpful to those looking to enter the social and human services field.
