Pay-per-page printing

Student News | Monday, August 30, 2021

Columbus State has transitioned to pay-per-printed-page. Each semester, you will be provided with a balance of $10 for general-use printing or copying. (The balance is reset to $10 each semester, regardless of how much was used the previous semester.)

Black-and-white standard-size (8.5 x 11) copies will be 5 cents per page. A standard two-sided copy, which saves paper, will cost 8 cents. Tabloid size (8.5 x 17) will be 10 cents per page.

Your printing stops after you reach the $10 threshold. If additional printing is required beyond that, you may consult with a staff member in the Computer Commons or a lab to increase the printing limits for your individual needs. You will be able to track printing expenses at print.cscc.edu, and the running balance, as well as job costs, will be visible on all print devices that have a touch screen.

Starting in Spring Semester, in order to print beyond the $10 limit, you may purchase a print card in the Bookstore, similar to a gift card. Various denominations will be available, from $5 to $20.

For select students requiring a larger-than-average amount of copies due to academic requirements, the Information Technology department can approve additional print credits beyond the $10 limit.

Instructions on how to use the pay-to-print are at this link
