Submissions being accepted by Et al.

Student News | Monday, May 4, 2020

The editors of Et al. seek student submissions of exemplary work created for any writing assignment for any class at Columbus State.

This year Et al. will publish a special section on “Life Under Lockdown” to help document the response to the campus closure and statewide stay-at-home orders. Please consider submitting your writing on your experiences during this time to be included in this special section.

Students should feel free to submit work that does not address the 'Life Under Lockdown' theme as well. Other submission possibilities include:

  • Reflections, essays, and research reports
  • Works of creative writing and journalism
  • Case studies, lab reports, and reviews
  • Analysis, proposals, and technical documentation
  • Any other kind of writing produced for a Columbus State class

Students should complete the intake form on our submissions page to indicate their interest in submitting work at this link: https://www.cscc.edu/academics/departments/et-al/.

Et al. (Latin for "and others") is a journal that celebrates individual excellence in student writing while also acknowledging others who contribute to that excellence: teachers, tutors, mentors, and classmates. By showcasing successful student writing from across campus, Et al. seeks to inspire students in all fields of study to appreciate writing as a means of learning, collaborating, and achieving.

For information about submitting to the journal, or for general questions about the journal, contact Shawn Casey, associate professor of English at scasey5@cscc.edu
