Entrepreneurship students launch and grow their businesses

Student News | Wednesday, May 9, 2018

A dozen students in the Business Plan Development course for Spring Semester 2018, researched, launched, or grew their businesses. Over the span of 15 weeks, students conducted interviews, developed marketing strategies, performed in-depth customer analysis, and forecasted three-year financial statements. The results included specific business plans that accounted for achieving the goals each student has set for themselves.

Companies created include hair and spa services, HVAC installation, Harajuku inspired fashion, and custom created greeting/wedding cards. Two other students had the presentations recorded and are able to be viewed on the Columbus State Business Programs YouTube channel.

Jacob Lauer, of Spade Landscaping in Gahanna, can be viewed giving his presentation here: Spade Landscaping.

Austen Hayden, of Austen’s Catering in Dublin/Powell, can be viewed going through his offering her: Austen’s Catering.

If you have any questions or are interested in finding out more about either business, please contact Assistant Professor Jonathan Krabill at jkrabill@cscc.edu.
