Free self-defense training co-sponsored by the Columbus State Police and Recreation and Wellness Departments will again be offered on the Columbus Campus.

The training is designed for both men and women and students and employees. There are no attendance requirements and participants can attend for a week, a month, or all year. The program is designed for those with little or no self-defense training.

Class times are Mondays from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and Fridays from noon until 1:30 p.m. The sessions are held in the Police Department Training Room in Delaware Hall.

Fresh workout clothing will be provided on your first visit. The training space has adjoining locker rooms.

Not sure if it’s right for you? Simply come to watch a session. Entrance is through the Police Department lobby area in the lower level of Delaware Hall. If you would like more information contact selfdefense@cscc.edu. Or watch a one-minute video here
