Columbus State Community College is thrilled to pass along an opportunity for employment so you can start your career with growing companies here in Columbus. It’s available through our Facilities Maintenance Apprenticeship program. We currently have employers looking for multiple students working toward the completion of their Facilities Maintenance degree and certificate program.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a flexible training strategy that can be customized to meet the needs of any business. It is also a way to get hands on experience while taking technical course to enhance employability.

FACTS about Apprenticeships:

  • There are more than 540,000 apprentices nationwide in 1,000+ occupations
  • Nearly 9 of 10 apprentices are employed after completing their apprenticeship
  • Average starting salary: $60,000 or more per year
  • Workers who complete apprenticeship programs earn $300,000 more over a career than peers who don’t
  • Apprentices earn while they learn, reducing their need to take on debt

How can I apply?

To find out more about the apprenticeship opportunity and how you can meet with employers on November 14 from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m.
