Student Clubs on CougarConnect
Student clubs are a great opportunity for Columbus State students to develop a sense of community, build leadership skills, and get engaged on our campus! Fortunately, Columbus State offers a variety of organizations that you can join. Student clubs are completely student-led and formed based on the wants and needs of the current student body including academic, special interests, and cultural identities.
Signature Events
Start your student club's year off right as a student club officer or advisor by coming to Club Kickoff where you will learn the ins and outs of how to successfully lead student club operations.

There is a temporary pause in place for the creation of new student clubs and organizations. For more information, please email studentengagement@cscc.edu.
Connect with the advisor of the student club you’re interested in representing as a student club officer.
Please note that all student club officers must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Student clubs can earn up to $500 in supplemental funds each academic year from the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging by participating in SEB signature events such as the Autumn or Spring Resource Fairs, Spring Fling and Delaware Day.
SEB also provides financial sponsorship on a case-by-case basis. For more information, contact SEB (studentengagement@cscc.edu).
- If the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging approves your event request, college facilities can be requested by the advisor(s) of student clubs. This cannot be delegated to student club officers or members.
- How to Reserve College Facilities
- Go to the CSCC website (cscc.edu) and go to the forms section housed in Employee Resources. The form you will complete is the General-Purpose on-line Request Form.
- Follow the instructions on the pages that follow to reserve the space.
- In the ‘purpose of the meeting’ section, include Club name, advisor, purpose of reservation and if non CSCC individuals will be involved.
- Central Scheduling will email you when your space is confirmed
- For special events (any meeting/event involving food, guest speakers, fundraising, or any event open to the community), an event registration form must be filled out and approved prior to reserving space with the College.
- Once event requests are approved, club events will populate on CougarConnect, where event details will be displayed and RSVPs can be managed.
- Student clubs can also promote events by collaborating with other student clubs, making announcements in classrooms, and displaying flyers on approved bulletin boards in Nestor Hall and Columbus Hall (Library).
- There are specific Student Travel forms that must be completed and uploaded for any off-campus activity where students will be involved.
- These forms can be found on the ‘Student Clubs’ CougarConnect page.
- Student travel forms must be completed and uploaded for approval at least 10 business days before the date of the event.
