Transitioning from College Credit Plus
Congratulations on completing College Credit Plus classes through Columbus State. That smart move gives you a great head start of college!
As a College Credit Plus participant, you are already a valued Columbus State student, and we want you to continue on with us as a full-time student after you graduate from high school! CCP students are not required to re-submit an application for admission. You’re already accepted and ready to choose your major.
Where will you go from here?
Start here. Transfer anywhere.
Each year, thousands of students transfer from Columbus State to OSU, Ohio University, Miami University and other top universities to finish their bachelor’s degree. You could be one of them!
- 400+ transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities
- 6,500+ CState students transfer to earn a bachelor’s every year
- 1000+ transfer from CState to OSU every year
Registration Steps
Follow the steps below to complete all of the admissions steps and get ready to register for your first semester of classes.
Declare a major at Columbus State. Use Explore.CSCC.edu to browse all available CSCC majors. Once you’ve decided on a major, please use your CSCC student email address to email CCPRegistrar@cscc.edu to request a CCP Graduating Senior Major Update. Your email must contain the following:
- Full Name
- Cougar ID Number
- Name of Intended CSCC Major as listed on CSCC website.
- Semester you plan to begin classes after your high school graduation.
NOTE: Requests sent from outside of the @student.cscc.edu email network will not be processed.
Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov (Columbus State school code: 006867).
Columbus State Credits: Your Columbus State College Credit Plus credits are already here, so no need to do anything there!
High School Transcripts: Have your high school send us your final, official high school transcript.
CCP at Another College: If you completed College Credit Plus through another college or university (other than Columbus State), request an official transcript from the college(s) where you have earned credit. Most colleges have an online transcript request process that you can find easily by visiting their site and searching for “transcripts.”
IMPORTANT: We must receive your official transcript directly from the college. Students are not permitted to submit transcripts.
AP Classes: If you completed AP classes, request an official transcript from The College Board to be sent to Columbus State.
Your next step is to submit your qualifying ACT/SAT scores and check with your CCP advisor to see if re-testing is necessary.
Near the end of your senior year of high school, you will get an invitation in your Columbus State student email to attend New Student Orientation.
