Preferred Pathway
With the Preferred Pathway, nine top regional universities have joined Columbus State to help you get a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of college debt. They’ve made it easy for Columbus State students to start here, earn an associate degree, then transfer to their campuses to finish a bachelor’s degree.
- Save Money: Complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree debt-free at our low tuition costs. Combine your savings with additional available scholarships and funding assistance from our partners.
- Seamless Transfer: Work with both your Columbus State academic advisor and advisors from our partners to design your personalized transfer plan. That ensures you only take the courses you need to get the degree you want.
- Guaranteed Transfer: Our Preferred Pathway partners guarantee admission to students who graduate Columbus State with an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science and maintain an overall GPA between 2.0 to 2.5 (Check with your advisor or the University Transfer Center for details. Each university has its own minimum required transfer GPA and certain college majors require a higher overall GPA or additional requirements.)
- Scholarships: Several partners offer special scholarships and financial assistance programs for students transferring from Columbus State to their universities.
Ensure Your Transfer: You'll need to apply to your four-year college separately, usually around the time you're getting ready to graduate Columbus State. Students must complete admissions applications and submit all requested documentation (transcripts, test scores, and/or other items) by the four-year college's stated deadlines.
Connect on Blackboard: Each Preferred Pathway Partner college/university has its own Blackboard Community to enable communication between the partner institution, CSCC, and interested students. Students are added to the Blackboard Community based on their stated interest on their CSCC admissions application and current CSCC enrollment. If you are enrolled in the wrong community or you wish to be added to more or different communities for our Preferred Pathway Partners or Dual Admission Partners, please click here to complete a request for changes and additions.
