The Pharmacy Technician Program is a two-semester, 16 credit hour program.
We have start dates in both autumn and spring semesters.
Yes, students may choose to complete the program over a three-semester time frame. We also have in-person, web, and blended options for students looking for flexibility. We do not offer MULT 1500, MULT 1525, MULT 1550, or MULT 1900 over summer semester.

No, as long as the registration remains valid during the duration of the program we can accept this registration status.
No, clinical sites must be evaluated and approved by our program advisory board. We have over 25 clinical sites and continue to expand our clinical site list yearly.
Beginning in January of 2019, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy requires Certified technicians to complete an approved technician training program. Coursework offered before 2019 was not approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and cannot be used to register as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Columbus State Pharmacy Technician Program changed in 2019 to meet Ohio Board of Pharmacy requirements.
