Medical Laboratory Associate Degree

Medical laboratory technicians play an important role in the practice of modern medicine. They perform diagnostic procedures in the health care setting, such as chemical analysis of body fluids, classification of blood cells, identification of disease producing microorganisms, and the selection of compatible donor blood for transfusion.

The Medical Laboratory Technology Associate Degree program is designed to prepare graduates to perform laboratory procedures in a variety of settings. Career and employment opportunities include hospitals, research and reference laboratories, public health and veterinary facilities, and environmental and quality assurance laboratories.

Full-Time or Part-Time Plans Available

The MLT Associate Degree program can now be completed in two convenient ways.

The full-time Medical Laboratory Technology program can be completed in five semesters, or less than two years. MLT technical course work will be offered Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

In the part-time Medical Laboratory Technology program, students can pursue their degree while keeping their current job. It includes the same coursework over seven semesters. Part-time MLT technical coursework will be offered Mondays through Thursdays from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
