Community races support our students

Central Ohio running events on April 26 and May 3 that support Columbus State students
are still accepting registrations. If you’re a runner or walker, or just want to support
student success, these events might be for you.
The Columbus Promise 5K is part of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K event taking place on April 26 that steps off at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds from registrations for the 5K support the Columbus Promise Fund at The Columbus Foundation.
The Columbus Promise is currently in its third year of providing free college access to Columbus City Schools graduates to earn degrees or certificates at Columbus State at no cost. Columbus State volunteers will be along the race route at a sponsored hydration station cheering on event participants.
On May 3, the Columbus State Delaware Campus will again host the Columbus State Cougar 5K Challenge at 9 a.m. This long-running fundraiser to support student course textbooks and supplies scholarships is for runners, walkers, virtual participants, and anyone who wants to make a donation.
The Cougar 5K Challenge is a great way to support Columbus State while checking out our Delaware Campus—the run is on site! Register and donate here.
