Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine today appointed two accomplished leaders to the Columbus State Community College Board of Trustees, filling two open seats on the nine-member board.

  • Traci L. Martinez, managing partner of the Columbus office of Squire Patton Boggs, an international law firm.
  • Lorina W. Wise, chief human resources officer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

“We’re grateful to Traci and Lorina for saying yes to Columbus State. They will provide invaluable leadership at a critical time for our college, our community, and our state,” said President David Harrison. “Thank you to Gov. DeWine for continuing to appoint extraordinary leaders to our Board of Trustees.”

Martinez earned her law degree from The Ohio State University, her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to law school, Traci was an elementary school teacher.

Wise is an attorney with more than 25 years of experience working with large organizations on labor and employment matters.  She joined Nationwide Children’s in 2012 and became its chief human resources officer in 2018.
