A New Phase for Earn & Learn
Columbus State is developing the next generation of Earn & Learn programming to support
more students across the college and deepen alignment with local industry demand.
As we build a more scalable, future-focused model, we will pause recruitment for the cohorts that would typically launch in Autumn 2026—giving us time to fine-tune the design before we move back into full production.
What does this mean?
Current Earn & Learn students will continue through program completion — no adjustments needed on their production line.
Employer partnerships and ongoing placements will not be interrupted — those connections remain running at full capacity.
Recruitment of new Earn & Learn cohorts will resume in January 2027 — once the updated model passes quality checks.
This redesign will help us:
- Expand Earn & Learn opportunities across additional academic pathways — increasing our ability to support more students without overloading the system.
- Strengthen skill preparation aligned with industry needs — ensuring students are built with the right specifications for today’s workforce.
- Streamline student and employer experience within a new, sustainable framework — reducing friction so the full process operates like a well-calibrated machine.
We look forward to launching the updated Earn & Learn model in January 2027 and expanding
opportunities for students and employers across Central Ohio. Thank you for your patience
as we re-tool and upgrade for the next phase.
