Paid enrollment confirms double-digit increase

Spring 2009 numbers 10.1 percent higher than last spring

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

With this week’s paid enrollment deadline, Columbus State Community College reached another milestone.  24,368 students are attending classes for spring quarter.  That is a 10.1 percent increase over the same date last year when 22,136 were enrolled. 
 
Traditionally, spring quarter has fewer students than fall and winter, but this year's spring enrollment finds 125 more students than winter quarter (24,243). 
 
The double-digit percentage increase is the largest quarter-over-quarter figure this school year, following 7.5 percent for winter quarter and 5.8 percent for fall quarter.
 
Founded in 1963, Columbus State is the largest community college in Ohio.
