"Learning for Earning"

  • Are you underemployed?
  • Are you facing roadblocks in your career path?
  • Do you wish to make changes in your work status?
  • Are you interested in improving your reading skills, your writing and grammar skills, and/or your math skills?
  • Do you need to "finish high school" by passing the GED test?
  • Do you need to "brush-up" for your COMPASS/college placement test?

If so, look no further. The Transitional Workforce Department has a rogram for you.

We offer classes in reading, writing, and mathematics. The classes are offered at convenient day, night, and weekend times. Each class is led by a Learning Specialist. Some financial aid may be available to qualifying students.

On the final days of class in the Advanced GED+ courses, the student will register for the Official GED Practice test.  Passing the entire practice test entitles the student to a "fee waiver" to take the real GED test.

Here's your first step...
Take the TABE placement test to determine which classes best suit your needs ($10 fee due at time of test registration).

Come to Room 1090 at WD 315 Cleveland Avenue for the list of current TABE testing dates and more information about the program.

Start today to make a better tomorrow!
