Wellness Classes & Intramurals

Columbus State Community College offers a wide variety of courses at convenient times throughout the year to aid in the development of our community. Keeping with that theme The Department of Athletics and College Recreation has open gym/recreation hours, intramurals, and a fitness center. The Department of Student Engagement and Leadership offers free fitness classes to all faculty, staff, and students of Columbus State. We encourage the use of our facilities and classes to help promote a healthier lifestyle. A current CSCC ID is required for all activities.

Weekly soccer matchups!

The Delaware Gymnasium has been turning into a melting pot of staff and students every Thursday for weekly soccer match ups. They're open to anyone on campus. The games begin around noontime each Thursday and last about 90 minutes. Drop in anytime and join the game!

SUMMER '13 CLASSES


All classes are held in Delaware Hall 158.

All classes are FREE to all CSCC students and are on a first come, first serve basis. Cougar ID required.

Mats  are provided or you may bring your own.

There are no classes on Thursday, July 4.

 

AEROBICS Step, kickboxing, basic movement patterns, and strength exercises.

Mondays & Wednesdays: 4:00 p.m. 5/20-7/31

PILATES Awareness of breath and spine alignment and aims to strengthen abdominal muscles.

SPINNING Using a special stationary bike, this provides an excellent workout to strengthen your heart and tone your legs.
