Firefighter I & II
Successful completion of this course allows you to take the test to become state certified as a professional firefighter. Upon achieving certification you can apply for a job as a firefighter (although most fire departments in Central Ohio also require an EMT or Paramedic certification).
EMS/Fire Science ATS (Associate of Technical Studies) Degree
This degree combines EMS and firefighting certifications, as well as technical electives and general education requirements. It’s a popular degree in Central Ohio, where many fire departments require both an EMS and firefighting credential.
EMS Degree
This two-year degree builds on your EMS certifications, and adds technical electives and general education requirements. It increases your job prospects, and opens the door to promotions.
Fire Science Degree:
This degree builds on your firefighting certification, and adds technical electives and general education requirements.
