Requirements

studentsStudents entering the Aviation Maintenance Technology must apply to Columbus State Community College and complete the Compass Placement Test. Prospective students must place into ENGL 1100 and MATH 1020. For an application to Columbus State Community College, click here. 

FAA requirements for eligibility for Mechanic Certificate are as follows:

    • 18 years old
    •  Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language
    • Pass the required tests  

-General – written, oral, and practical
-Airframe – written, oral, and practical 
-Powerplant – written, oral, and practical.
