Home Schooled Students Option D

All Home Schooled Students need to be registered with the K-12 Initiatives Department. Students who are either under the age of 18* and/or have no high school diploma and are home schooled need to complete additional information.  The home school population along with all PSEO and Self-pay (Option C) students have scheduling restrictions, which must be lifted prior to registering for classes. Students are expected to register for their classes and add/drop classes in the same manner as all Columbus State Community College students except they will need their scheduling restrictions lifted prior to accessing their schedule.

There is not a minimum grade point average for this option. Students must meet the prerequisites for each course as listed in the Columbus State course descriptions.

CSCC does not offer high school diplomas only the GED program. So, we encourage home school parents/students to research and enroll in a home school program, one that could possibly accept our college credits as requirements to achieving a high school diploma.

Columbus State Community College and/or the K-12 Initiatives Department do not provide any financial assistance to Home School Students. Parent(s)/guardian(s)/students are expected to pay for their classes and all supplies.

*There is a minimum age requirement for admission to the college and taking classes as an unattended minor. Please contact the Admissions Office at (614) 287-2669 for information.
