Columbus State has two basic kinds of programs:

First, we offer two-year Associates of Applied Science degrees that allow you to get a job as soon as you graduate. Second, you can take the first two years of your bachelor's degree here, then transfer to a four-year college to complete your degree.

Transfer Students

Transfer Degrees	Career and Technical Degrees
Associate of Arts, Associate of Science	Associate of Applied Science
2-year degrees that prepare students to transfer to a 4-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree.	2-year technical degrees completed at Columbus State that prepare students for immediate employment. Business, Engineering, and Health and Human Services
Transfers to most colleges and universities.	Limited transferability. Some Career & Technical degrees allow you to transfer to 4-year colleges.
General education-based courses	Technical and skills-based courses.
Offered through Arts & Sciences department	Offered through Career & Technical Programs department.
