Academic Year: Four quarters, 11 weeks each.

Class Size: Average class size is 19 students. Faculty-to-student ratio is 17:1.

Programs of Study: Columbus State offers more than 140 associate degree and certificate programs in areas of business, health, health/public services and engineering technologies. The college's Arts & Sciences department allows students to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree, which they can finish at another school.

Enrollment: With more than 20,000 students each quarter, Columbus State is the largest community college in central Ohio.

Coverage zone: Columbus State serves Franklin, Union, Madison and Delaware counties.

Downtown Campus: The main campus is located on more than 80 acres in Columbus' Discovery District. It includes a library, bookstore, cafeteria, two computer labs, several student lounges, a parking garage and several parking lots.

Suburban Facilities: Columbus State operates 10 suburban centers in Delaware, Dublin, Gahanna, Grandview, Grove City, Groveport, Marysville, Plain City, Southwest Columbus (Bolton Field) and Westerville.

Student Activities: Columbus State students participate in 45 student clubs, honor societies and organizations, including concert band, choir, sports teams, theater groups, and the student newspaper, Cougar News.
