Pregnant Employee Resources
Reasonable accommodations for pregnant employees take many different forms depending on the employee’s needs and the specifics of their role at the college.
When coordinating reasonable accommodations for pregnant employees, the Benefits Office:
- Facilitates communication between the employee and their supervisor to determine reasonable accommodations in the workplace, which may include reducing lifting requirements, providing different office equipment, and allowing for water and snacks.
- Provides guidance to supervisors about what the law requires.
- Explores providing unpaid leave for an employee who does not qualify for leave under College Policy 3-48, "Parental Leave" or the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
If you are a pregnant employee or you supervise a pregnant employee who may need a reasonable accommodation, contact adaemployee@cscc.edu.
