Why Complete Your Bachelor's in Nursing at CState?

Career Growth

According to a recent survey by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 72% of employers strongly prefer baccalaureate-prepared nurses. Earning your BSN opens opportunities for promotion and higher pay, particularly if you want to become a charge nurse or manager.

Affordability

Columbus State’s BSN-Completion program is offered at the same low tuition as the rest of our programs and is fully eligible for federal financial aid. The estimated cost for ADN graduates completing a BSN is roughly $10,000 – and that’s before any financial aid, scholarships, and employer tuition reimbursement you may qualify for.

Convenience

Our BSN-Completion program can be completed entirely online. Depending on how many courses you take per semester, you can finish in less than a year or take up to five years from program start. We’ll work with you to make a plan that fits your life. Plus, if you’re already a graduate of the Columbus State ADN program, you get expedited admission.

Reputation

Columbus State has been preparing nurses for the central Ohio health care system since 1970. We’re No. 1 among Ohio’s two-year colleges in registered nursing employment certification, with a 95.65% licensure examination pass rate for graduates of our ADN program. Our employer partners — the region’s top health care systems — compete for our graduates. Six months after graduation, 95% are employed as RNs.

Bachelor's in Nursing Plan of Study

The BSN-Completion program costs $182.93 per credit hour for Ohio residents. Estimated tuition for the BSN coursework is $9,878. The total cost of the program could be higher, depending on the number of credit hours you transfer and how many you need to meet the minimum of 120 for a bachelor’s degree. Autumn Semester classes start Aug. 26, so apply today!

If you still have questions, please email us at bsn@cscc.edu.

At the completion of the BSN, students will have a minimum number of 120 credit hours, which may include the Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) education curriculum hours.

Students who enter with an accredited associate degree in nursing will receive up to 34 technical credit hours. The individual nursing courses of a student's associate degree or diploma program will not be evaluated separately to fulfill the nursing course requirements of the RN to BSN program's curriculum. Instead, the nursing coursework will be accepted as a block of credit toward bachelor's degree completion. Depending on the number of credits transferred, students may need to take additional coursework to meet the 120-credit hour requirement.
