George Hudak retired as a Captain, from the City of Whitehall-Division of Fire, after 27 years of service in 2002. He has been involved with Fire Safety Education at all levels, working as a State of Ohio Certified Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Investigator and Juvenile Fire Setter Educator. He designed and assisted with construction of the first Children’s Safety House in Central Ohio in 1983. He was also the head Fire Safety Educator at the Central Ohio Fire Museum and Learning Center. Currently Mr. Hudak is an adjunct faculty member for the Fire Science department at Columbus State Community College, in addition to instructing and developing the High-Rise, High-Hazard Building Safety program.
Jay Louks worked for Washington Township Fire Department for 33 years as a firefighter/EMT. He has also been a State of Ohio Fire Inspector and Fire Instructor since 1979. He has taught Vocational Fire Fighting for Columbus Public Schools for 25 years and has been the Fire Science Coordinator at Columbus State Community College for 5 years.
